It is with mixed emotions that we bid farewell to a much-loved member of our staff, Bridget Lobb. Bridget has had a special and enduring connection to our school, starting as a pupil of St Patrick’s Primary School and later serving as a Teacher Aide and finally a teacher. Over the years, she has been known as Miss Mettrick, then Mrs Lobb, and most importantly, Mum to Colman. Next year, Bridget's family will grow even more as she prepares to welcome another child!
While we are thrilled for her and this next chapter, we are also saddened to lose her from our teaching team. Bridget’s contributions have been immense—her passion for music, her coordination of incredible events like the whole school zoo trip, Artsplash, and sports days have left lasting memories. Bridget, you will be deeply missed, but we wish you and your growing family all the very best.
As we say goodbye to Bridget, we are delighted to welcome Hannah McCardle to our teaching team. Hannah, a familiar face in our community, has two children at OLOK and is an active member of the Parish. Returning to the teaching profession, Hannah is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of tamariki. She also has a love of music and enjoys participating in music groups and theatre productions.
We are excited to have Hannah join us and look forward to the energy and expertise she will bring to our school. Please join us in welcoming Hannah to the OLOK whānau!
